Interceptor Plus helps to protect against five different types of worms in dogs and puppies 6 weeks and older, weighing 2 pounds or more. Each tasty, chicken-flavored prescription tablet provides heartworm disease prevention and protection against hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm infections for a full month.

Both are prescription oral treatments that help provide prevention and protection against four parasitic worms—heartworms, roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. Interceptor Plus contains the additional active ingredient praziquantel—which targets tapeworms—making it a 5-worm treatment.

Because Interceptor Plus is an oral treatment, it can take up to 1 to 2 days to be fully absorbed in your pet’s system and begin working.
