The best cat scratcher for your pet depends on their age, agility and how much they love to climb. For instance, the Brown Centro Cat Tree is great for multiple cats who like to climb. They can scratch on the tree branches, then choose one of the two attached beds to crash in. The Gray Rizzo Cat Tree is shorter to the ground and ideal for older cats—the furniture has two scratching posts.

Keep in mind that cat scratchers with beds also have weight restrictions. Often, each bed at the top of your scratching tree can accommodate up to 20 lbs. Depending on the cat tree you choose, there may only be four or five pieces to put together. No power tools are required. Most people can put together their new Mau furniture in just a few minutes.
