When shopping for your pet’s habitat, always do your research to see what kind of frog accessories they need—depending on the species of your frog, their habitat requirements can vary.
When choosing an aquarium, you’ll want to make sure you have enough room for one or all your frogs. Add five gallons of terrarium capacity for every smaller frog you have—ten or more for average- or larger-sized frogs. You can also decorate the enclosure with natural items, like hunks of driftwood or decorative plants.
Adding a substrate is also great for the habitat’s natural look. While researching the species of your frog, look up their favorite material for the bottom of their habitat. You may also want to ensure it’s a larger substrate—that way, they can’t swallow it.
Lighting is also important. It’s a great detail to highlight your frog tank décor but is also essential for your pet’s health. You want to be careful to make sure the lights don’t get too hot or too cold, depending on your pet’s needs.
When styling your aquarium, ensure your frog has access to their food dish at all times—the same goes for their water dish if they require one. Check out our reptile food and water accessories to find the right containers for your terrarium.
