Animax Topical Ointment 

 

Watching your pet scratch, lick and paw at an irritation can be difficult for any pet parent and reason enough to browse our cat care guides looking for a solution. Prescription Animax ointment for cats is a topical balm designed to help treats infections, eczema, dermatitis and other feline skin disorders. Before using Animax ointment for hot spots or other ailments, it can help to trim the fur around the infected area and follow the dosage instructions given by your vet. Gently massage the balm into your cat’s skin—depending on the severity of your cat’s condition. You’ll usually be directed to repeat the process anywhere from once a week to a few times each day. 

 

Animax ointment is also a prescription cat ear medicine and can help effectively treat feline ear infections such as otitis. Simply drop the recommended dosage in your cat’s ear and tenderly rub the ear as the ointment is absorbed. 

  

Animax is designed to be equally effective on skin and ear disorders because it targets and kills the bacterial organisms that are making your kitty uncomfortable. In addition to treating skin and ear disorders, Animax ointment can sometimes be used to treat cysts between your cat’s toes and help treat anal gland problems in dogs. Discuss any use of Animax with your vet and schedule a return visit if symptoms persist after two to three weeks of treatment.
