Aquacultured Green Digitata Coral
Cultured Green Digitata is a very hardy, branching Montipora coral that needs moderate care. Without the proper condition and water parameters this coral can lose its branching appearance. Moderate to high water flow is optimal and will help prevent sediments from settling on this coral. The Digitata will thrive with moderate to high lighting, which can be achieved by placing it in the middle to top of the aquarium. To maximize their growth within your reef aquarium it's important to have high levels of strontium, calcium and pH. When presented with optimal water quality this Montipora can grow quickly, but will not overgrow neighboring corals like encrusting Montiporas. Supplemented feedings are not a necessity as these corals will thrive on the nutrition from the light and floating particles. However, target feedings of zooplanktons foods will enhance growth rates and coloration. When feeding the Digitata will extend their short polyps, which gives them a fuzzy appearance.
