Aquacultured Helmet Picasso Percula Clownfish
Aquacultured Helmet Picasso Percula Clowns are a variant that sports an orange and black body with white irregular shaped patches with a pattern on its head that resembles a helmet. They will very likely choose a host anemone fairly quickly (just avoid condylactis). In one of the neatest displays of symbiotic behavior that you can see in a home aquarium, the anemone provides food and a cleaning service for the anemone, which in turn protects the clownfish. They are an excellent addition to just about any aquarium as they are very hardy and accustomed to captivity. This clown is reef safe, will eat processed foods and can be added in small groups. Clownfish are known to change their sex to increase their chance of reproduction and genetic diversity in the wild. A school of clowns are built on a hierachy with the female on top, so the largest clown in a school is always the female. The Helmet Picasso Percula Clown will grow to be about 4" in size.
