Aquacultured Metallic Green Brain Coral
The Cultured Metallic Green Brain Coral has an extremely vibrant green coloration that makes them really stand out. The Brain Coral is a fan favorite among reef enthusiasts and the Favia sp. is one of the more common ones seen within the hobby. It can be very difficult to tell Favia sp and Favites sp apart because they look so similar-Favia sp have more of a pineapple polyp shape. The Brain Coral is considered to be an easy coral to care for and is an excellent suggestion for the newer reef hobbyists. This coral will retain their coloration under moderate lighting. Moderate to higher water flow is optimal with this coral and will help prevent sediments from settling on it. They have long sweeper tentacles that come out at night so be sure to provide substantial space between neighboring corals. Supplemented feedings are not a necessity for these corals, but target feedings of small meaty foods will enhance growth rates and coloration.
