Black Nox Angelfish
Centropyge angels have forever been a favorite with hobbyists due to their smaller adult size, colorations and hardiness. The Black Nox's small adult size of 4" means they can go into aquariums as small as 45 gallons when small, and they should be able to be perfectly happy in a 70-gallon tank at grow out. Provide a plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing. Like any other dwarf angel, they can be aggressive with other small angels and similarly shaped/colored fish. The Black Nox Angel is not the best choice for a reef aquarium because they tend to nip on corals and clam mantles. Their diet should include both a variety of marine algae and frozen meaty foods. This angel is completely black in color and commonly referred to as the Midnight Angel. The Black Nox are found in the Western Pacific around coral rich areas of lagoons and reef slopes either singly or in pairs up to 70 meters deep.
