Aquacultured Black Photon Hybrid Clownfish
Aquacultured Black Photon Clowns are a cross between the Darwin Ocellaris and Onyx Percula Clown. They will very likely choose a host anemone fairly quickly (just avoid condylactis). In one of the neatest displays of symbiotic behavior that you can see in a home aquarium, the clownfish provides food and a cleaning service for the anemone, which in turn protects the clownfish. This clown is reef safe, will eat processed foods and can be added in small groups. Clownfish are known to change their sex to increase their chance of reproduction and genetic diversity in the wild. If the female dies, a male will change their sex to take her place. As juveniles they are brown and orange with three thick white bands. As they grow the brown turns to black and a little orange will remain on their face. They are a vibrant orange coloration with three thick white bands that are outlined in black. The Black Photon Clown will grow to be about 3" in size.
