Blue Linckia Sea Star
The Blue Linckia Sea Star will stand out while they consume detritus (algae and organic films). Like most sea stars, these have fairly simple needs: consistent food and stable water parameters, and lots of rock to grow algae on. Like all sea stars, the Blue Linckia does have the ability to regenerate (re-grow) any missing arms, in some cases you can end up with two sea stars instead of one. Helpful tips: They should never be exposed to air while handling and gentle acclimation is recommended because they are sensitive to fast water quality changes. Always give them a little supplemental food like nori, especially if the aquarium isn't rich with algae. Do not house with fish that may pick on them as the Linckia will quickly diminish if consistently picked on.
