Blue Reef Chromis
An easy fish to keep that will school nicely is the Blue Reef Chromis. These little guys will shimmer blue in your aquarium, which makes a beautiful display. They reside in the upper part of the water column that helps bring our shier fish. This semi-aggressive fish adapts quickly to a new aquarium setting and is very hardy, which makes it the ideal option for any hobbyist. Provide ample amounts of decorations and live rock to allow this fish to hide and swim through. It is difficult to differentiate between a male and female. Like other damsels the male is responsible for the care of the eggs and will become very territorial while guarding his brood. The Blue Reef Chromis' diet should consist of vitamin enriched meaty foods and flake/pellet foods for marine fish. They have an adult size of about 5" and can be added in a group simultaneously. They are found in Western Atlantic in large schools over reefs up to 60 meters deep.
