Bursa Triggerfish
The Bursa Trigger is a striking fish that has interesting patterns of colors! Since they like to pick on smaller sessile invertebrates and like to tip other things like corals while exploring, this trigger is not considered reef safe. To make the trigger feel at home make sure the rockwork has ample hiding places. For continued health provide a varied diet of meaty foods, multiple times a day. Since they have teeth, the Bursa needs to be fed foods with a shell to keep them from overgrowing. They will grow to be a pretty large size of 9" and will need ample swimming space. Full grown adults of this trigger will need around 125 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles. They have a cream to white body coloration and multiple different marks of blue, yellow, red, brown and black. The Bursa Triggers are found in the Indo-West Pacific inhabiting subtidal reef flats and protected lagoons up to 20 meters deep.
