Clavamox Oral Suspension Drops

 

When you get a cat or dog, you’re thinking about the good times you’ll have. You may not be considering possible medical problems, like heart and blood pressure conditions or bacterial infections. But a bacterial infection in cats and dogs is a relatively common problem. Your veterinarian may prescribe Clavamox drops to treat many different types of harmful bacteria, as well as skin and wound infections, abscesses and cellulitis. It’s also a useful medicine for cats with urinary tract infections. 

 

Clavamox drops are a combination of amoxicillin, which helps prevent bacteria from creating a protective wall and therefore kills them. Clavulanic acid can help make certain bacteria more sensitive to amoxicillin. These Clavamox drops are given orally. Dosage, frequency and length of use may vary, so always consult your veterinarian before use. 

 

Side effects from Clavamox drops are rare but may include vomiting, diarrhea, lack of appetite or drooling. Some pets may also experience an allergic reaction in rare cases, so keep an eye out for swelling, hives, scratching, seizures and pale gums.
