Clown Triggerfish
The Clown Trigger has quickly become a favorite among hobbyists due to their bold coloration, extreme durability and outgoing personality. Picking tank mates can be a challenge since all triggers are aggressive. Try to house them with fish that are equal in size and aggression, stay away from smaller fish and invertebrates. To make the trigger feel at home make sure the tank includes many rocks for the fish to hide. Feed your Clown triggerfish a varied diet of marine meaty foods (and sometimes food in shells to wear down their teeth), more than once per day. Please note, all triggers have sharp teeth and may bite when they feel threatened, use caution when working in the aquarium. They will grow to be a large size of a foot and full grown adults of this trigger will need around 300 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles. The Clown Trigger is found in the Indo-Pacific inhabiting coastal and outer reefs up to 75 meters deep.
