Coral Banded Shrimp
The Coral Banded Shrimp is an eye-catching invert to add to any aquarium thanks to its beautiful coloration and unique body shape. This hardy shrimp usually hides in caves or crevices, with only its antennae emerging from the hole. Watch them move around the live rock scavenging for food, which is where their long pinchers come in handy. They can be aggressive towards other Banded Coral Shrimp and smaller shrimp of different species, but most are peaceful towards fish, corals, and invertebrates within your aquarium. The Coral Banded should be housed individually or kept as a true mated pair. While molting (shedding its outer shell), the Coral Banded Shrimp will often hide for a couple of days. For continued health provide a supplemented diet of small meaty frozen (thawed) foods.
