Fahaka Pufferfish
Fahaka Puffer is an intelligent freshwater pufferfish available to the hobby. This puffer has the max size of 17.5 inch, so they should be the only species of fish in the aquarium. They are considered to be the second largest freshwater pufferfish species. They have a sleeker and streamlined body shape compared to other freshwater pufferfish. The Fahaka Puffer prefers a brackish environment with plenty of hiding places and a sandy substrate. They should be fed a diet consisting of brine shrimp, krill and/or mollusks. Males can be very territorial so it is suggested to only have one per aquarium. Be sure not to add any invertebrates because they will become a meal. To keep the puffer's beak healthy and short, be sure to feed it crunchy foods.
