Flametail Blenny
The Flametail Blenny has striking colors and personality to match. This fish is enjoyable to watch while "hop" across the substrate and live rock. This hardy fish is relatively peaceful and active. Like other blennies, the Flametail Blenny will be peaceful towards other fish, unless its tank mate looks similar to a blenny. It is recommended that only one blenny be kept in an aquarium unless it is a mated pair. They will help maintain algae growth by feeding on it. However, for continued health, supply a varied diet of meaty and vegetable foods. Their small adult size of about 4" makes them ideal for smaller aquariums. The Flametail got its name because of their bright yellow posterior. The Flametail Blenny are found in the Western Pacific inhabiting rocks and tubes in shallow coral reefs.
