Half Black Angelfish
Centropyge angels have forever been a favorite with hobbyists due to their smaller adult size, colorations and hardiness. Half Black Angels stand out not only because of their stark coloration of black and pearl white, but they also have a lot of personality. They are still very hardy and eat just about anything. Their small adult size of 4" means they can go into aquariums as small as 70 gallons. Like any other dwarf angel, they can be aggressive with other small angels and similarly shaped/colored fish. These should take just about anything you want to feed them, but we suggest a varied diet, ideally fed at least 2x per day. The Half Black Angel is found in coral rich areas of lagoons and seaward reefs up to 25 meters deep. They will use crevices in the reefs as shelter. They are found in the Western Pacific and the eastern Indian Ocean.
