Heartgard Plus is a monthly oral pet med used as a combination heartworm preventive and intestinal wormer.

  • Treat and control hookworms and roundworms (which can cause disease in both pets and people)
  • Delicious beef-flavored chewable is easy to administer
  • Protect your dog from potentially deadly heartworm disease
  • Most dogs like the taste of Heartgard Plus and will accept the chewable like a treat. The chewable should be administered in a manner that encourages the dog to chew, rather than to swallow without chewing. Heartgard Plus Chewables may be broken into pieces and fed to dogs that normally swallow treats whole. Care should be taken that the dog consumes the complete dose, and treated animals should be observed for a few minutes after administration to ensure that part of the dose is not lost or rejected. If not entirely consumed, give another full recommended dose as soon as possible.

Heartgard Plus is a prescription pharmaceutical and requires veterinary authorization. This prescription medication will kill heartworms and control and treat hookworms.  Every 30 days feed your dog one chewable tablet and your dog will be protected from heartworms and hookworms. These tablets are used to prevent heartworm disease and treat and control hookworms and roundworms. Treats dogs 6 weeks in age and older weighing 1 to 25 pounds. Please consult a veterinarian before starting any treatment and ensure your dog is tested for heartworm disease.
