Horseface Loach
The Horseface Loach scavenges the bottom of the aquarium looking for leftover food. They can be relatively shy and enjoy burrowing under the substrate. This loach's snout resembles a horse's muzzle, hence its name. They have spines near its eyes, which are used for defense. It is not recommended to transport this loach in a net because the spines can get stuck. The Horseface Loach is considered a "scale-less fish," which means they can be more susceptible to diseases like Ich. Slower acclimation and pristine water conditions will help reduce the chance of diseases. Provide an environment with a sandy substrate, so the Horseface Loach can easily sift through.
