Koran Angelfish
Angelfish come in a large array of colors, patterns and sizes that make them very appealing to all levels of hobbyists. The Koran Angels are very hardy and will do quite well in the home aquarium as long as they have sufficient space and a balanced diet. They generally feed on a wide variety of algae, sponges, soft corals and other organisms, which is why they are not recommended for reef aquariums. Luckily, they are also known to snack on cyanobacteria and slime algae in home aquariums. Full grown adults of this angel will need around 250 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles. Like most large angelfish the Koran will go through a complete transformation from juvenile to adult. As a juvenile, they are mostly dark blue with white stripes that form almost semi-circles. As an adult their coloration is different color grades of yellow/tan, blue, orange and green. Their body has small speckles littered across it and neon blue outlining the fins.
