Long Nose Hawkfish
The Long Nose Hawk is a fish with a colorful personality that is also entertaining to watch. These little guys can be seen perching on top of rocks throughout a day, protecting its territory. In the wild, they would perch on red sea fans to blend in. If another fish comes too close, they will be chased away. The Long Nose is a hardy fish that can adapt well to aquarium settings, which makes them ideal for beginner aquarists. Most hawkfish will readily adapt to aquarium foods, which should include a thawed carnivorous mix. The fish should quickly learn to accept food from you, at which point it will be easy to convert it to more processed offerings. This hawk has an adult size of only 5", which makes them ideal for smaller aquariums. The Long Nose has a white solid body coloration with a detailed red pattern of stripes. Their long nose allows them to get into all the nooks and crannies of your aquarium. They are found in the Indo-Pacific and Eastern Pacific.
