Male Redfin Fairy Wrasse
The male Redfin Fairy Wrasse has breathtaking colorations, hardiness, and high activity levels, making them very desirable in aquariums. This species is predominately red with hints of black and blue on their fins. This peaceful fish can be added to just about any aquarium as they are not known to eat or damage corals. Redfin Fairy Wrasses can mix well with others if they are females (most at medium size or smaller) and introduced at the same time to the aquarium. For continued health, give a varied diet of small meaty foods. Feeding them multiple times a day is recommended since they are very active. They have a desirable small adult size of 4". They are jumpers, so a covered aquarium is necessary. The Redfin Fairy Wrasse is found in the Western Central Pacific within coral reefs where there is a stronger current up to 40 meters deep.
