McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
The McCosker's Flasher Wrasse has exquisite coloration, hardiness and high activity levels that make them very desirable in the aquarium hobby. When beginning a new aquarium, the McCosker's Wrasse can live in groups and should be the fish added last because they tend to be harassed by other fish, furthermore the female should be added before the males for the same reason. It is strongly advised that the aquarium has s tight fitting lid because they are known to jump out. Their diet should include frozen meaty foods like brine shrimp, marine pellets and flakes. This wrasse has a high metabolism so they should be fed several small meals rather than two large meals a day. They have a small adult size of 3" which is another reason why they are so desirable. Their coloration is primarily red/orange with blue horizontal stripes and a yellowish underside. Their fins are an array of colors and patterns. Their elongated dorsal fin is red/orange with yellow.
