The Metallic Green Carpet Anemone is easy to keep, acclimates quickly and can tolerate a wide variety of conditions. However, they can get rather large so be sure to provide enough space around it. The Carpet Anemone has a brutal sting that can harm corals, other anemones and the hobbyist, so use gloves when handling. Be aware this anemone has been known to migrate around an aquarium, even if totally happy. If a moving anemone is not desired then one trick is to place rock rubble around it to slow down movement. These anemones prefer strong lighting and medium to high water flow.

  • Multiple can be added to an aquarium
  • Add to an aquarium with ample rockwork and a deep substrate
  • For continued health provide a supplemented diet of frozen chunks of meaty foods. Be sure the foods are small enough to easily fit into their mouths
