Orange Lined Cardinal
The Orange Lined Cardinal is a great schooling fish that will bring attention to any aquarium. This attractive cardinal is durable with dramatic coloration that is vibrant even at night. They are a passive fish that will not harm their tankmates, but can be a target by more aggressive fish. Provide plenty of hiding places to reduce the chance of aggression on these fish. This fish adapts easily to aquariums and prepared foods. Provide a variety of frozen meaty foods and marine flake food for continued health. Their small adult size of about 4" makes them ideal for smaller aquariums. However, groups will require larger aquariums. The Orange Lined Cardinal is pretty self-explanatory when it comes to how they look. They are orange in color with thin horizontal strips that look like lines. They are found within the Indo-Pacific in groups inhabiting coastal and outer reefs. In the wild, juveniles can be found hiding among the long tentacles of plate corals.
