The panther chameleon is a species of chameleon found in the eastern and northern parts of Madagascar in a tropical forest. Known for their bright and varied coloration, they are also one of the larger chameleons.

  • Lifespan: 5 years
  • House adult chameleons separately and do not house different reptile species together
  • Diurnal - Awake during the day, sleep at night
  • Panther chameleons are able to change colors based on temperature or mood. They also possess a sticky, spring-loaded tongue that can be launched one and a half times their own body length to capture prey
  • Diet: Insectivore
