Pinkbar Goby
Gobies are an excellent addition to reef aquariums for their small adult size, their disease resistance, and their large personalities. When planning a display with this goby, be sure to use a few inches of mixed grain sand, as this will give them enough depth to burrow. Before adding them into the aquarium, make sure that all rocks are securely rested on the bottom of the tank and not just on the sand, as these fish will destabilize the rockwork otherwise. The Pinkbar Goby scavenges through the sand for food, which helps to keep your sand looking clean. However, be sure to supplement their diet with meaty frozen foods (thawed) and marine sinking pellets. Because they are generally "busy" working on the sand bed, target feeding is recommended to keep them from missing meals. This little guy has an adult size of 4" and are a great addition to nano aquariums. They have a white body and broad pink bands with yellow on their fins.
