The Red Collar Snail is a very unique snail with its smooth shell and bright red foot. They will be a vivid stand-out against your aquarium glass. They originate from the Pacific coast of Mexico and prefer cooler water temperatures. This snail prefers an aquarium with ample rockwork to graze on and enough room to roam. Like other invertebrates, they are sensitive to high nitrate levels and will not tolerate copper-based medications. If sufficient food levels are not present, supplement the diet with vegetable-based tablet foods or dried seaweeds.
