Red-finned Cigar Barb
The Red-finned Cigar Barb is a great semi-aggressive schooling fish. However, if adding in a school make sure that the aquarium is large enough because they can grow to be about 24 inches in size. Keeping them happy is pretty simple and they will acclimate to an aquarium setting fairly easily. They are a very active fish that needs plenty of swimming space. Since, they are so fast moving they can stress out slower moving tankmates, so use caution when determining appropriate tankmates. They prefer planted aquariums with rocks, fine gravel and drift where they can hide and swim through. The Red-finned Cigar Barb will accept just about any food that is dropped into the tank from freshwater flakes to frozen meaty foods.
