Red Flying Fox Algae Eater
The Red Flying Fox is a great addition to your cleanup crew! They are a very efficient algae and detritus eater, which means less cleaning for you. As juveniles, both males and females look identical, but adult females will look noticeably thicker than males. Provide lots of hiding spaces to help reduce their stress especially while they are acclimating to their new environment. They should be added to aquariums with driftwood and plants to help mimic their natural habitat. Even though they love eating algae and detritus that cannot be their only food source, so provide a varied diet of algae wafers and sinking pellets.
