Red-Toothed Trigger
When it comes to aggression, Red-Toothed Triggers don't top the list in the trigger family, but they could still bully smaller and/or timid fish. Aggression can be amplified in smaller tanks. Since they like to pick on smaller things and like to tip other things like corals while exploring, any trigger is not considered reef safe, though this specific trigger is a planktivore, and thus much less likely to engage in this behavior. They will grow to be a pretty large size of 12"and will need ample swimming space. Full grown adults of this trigger will need around 180 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles. Their color is known to change from day to day, but will typically stay in shades of purple, blue and green. The fins are outlined in a neon blue that gives a very striking color. Their name gives away the color of their sharp teeth.
