Females are subdued in colors. They are a subtropical fish that can live in freshwater or brackish environments. They do not like strong water movements in the tank due to their size and swimming abilities. Use caution when picking tank mates since the Red-White Medaka Rice Fish is so timid and small. Pick tank mates that are similar in size and temperament. Provide a varied diet of freshwater frozen foods and small pellet or flake foods.
