Rubripinnis Killifish
The Rubripinnis Killifish are a cute, small schooling fish that does great in planted tanks. They prefer the ratio of one male to three females. The males are much more brightly colored and the females are subdued in colors. They come from waters that are relatively warm, soft and acidic, so for continued health their aquariums should mimic their natural habitat. They do not like strong water movements in the tank due to their size and swimming abilities. Use caution when picking tank mates since the Rubripinnis Killifish is so timid and small. Pick tank mates that are similar in size and temperament. Provide a varied diet of freshwater frozen foods and small pellet or flake foods.
