Ruby Head Fairy Wrasse
The Ruby Head Fairy Wrasse has gorgeous colorations, hardiness and high activity levels, making them very desirable in aquariums. This peaceful fish can be added to just about any aquariums since they are not known to eat or damage corals. Ruby Head wrasses can mix well with others as long as they are females (most at medium size or smaller will be) and introduced at the same time to the aquarium. For continued health, give a varied diet of small meaty foods. Feeding them multiple times a day is recommended since they are very active. They have a small adult size of 5" which is another reason why they are so desirable. Beware: They are jumpers, so a covered aquarium is necessary. This fairy wrasse has a dark red colored head and its body is a combination of blue, red, yellow and purple. The Ruby Head Fairy Wrasse is found in the Indo-West Pacific in groups above corals in reef slopes and lagoons.
