They may suggest a canine anthelmintic like Sentry WormX DS, which is designed to remove larger roundworms and hookworms in dogs and puppies. This liquid wormer can be effective for dogs as large as 120 lbs. and is also formulated for puppies.

 

When administering Sentry WormX DS for dogs, 2 fl oz is often enough for several doses—depending on the dog’s size. The recommended Sentry WormX Plus dosage is 5 ml for every 10 lbs. of body weight. While some anthelmintic drugs for dogs may cause nausea, you do not need to withhold food before or after treatment with Sentry WormX DS. You can even mix in a small amount of food to encourage consumption if your dog is reluctant. You can reward your dog’s cooperation—while keeping their teeth clean—with a dental treat. 

 

Though administering a canine anthelmintic is relatively straightforward, going through the process at home can help keep your pet comfortable. Arrange their bed and bedding the way they like and have some toys on hand so you can monitor their behavior in their daily environment during their normal activities.
