Aquacultured Snowflake Ocellaris Clowns are a beautiful clown variant. They will very likely choose a host anemone fairly quickly (just avoid condylactis). In one of the neatest displays of symbiotic behavior that you can see in a home aquarium, the clownfish provides food and a cleaning service for the anemone, which in turn protects the clownfish. They are an excellent addition to just about any aquarium as they are very hardy and accustomed to captivity. This clown is reef safe and can be added in small groups. Clownfish are known to change their sex to increase their chance of reproduction and genetic diversity in the wild. A school of clowns are built on a hierachy with the female on top, so the largest clown in a school is always the female. If the female dies, a male will change their sex to take her place. They have irregular markings that look angular and jagged that kind of resemble a snowflake. The Snowflake Clown will grow to be about 3" in size.
