Aquacultured Spotted Pajama Cardinal
Aquacultured Pajama Cardinal Fish do best in groups (at least 3) with peaceful tank mates like Firefish and Gobies since they are slow swimmers. They very much like darker aquariums, or cave structures. Since they are cultured specimens, they do excellent on prepared diets of marine pellets and frozen meaty foods. They have a small adult size of about 3", so this cardinal is an excellent addition to smaller aquariums. The Pajama Cardinal is a silver white in color with a yellow head and black, thick strip down the center. The posterior end is littered with brown spots, which really help this fish stand out. They are found within the Indo-Pacific in groups inhabiting sheltered bays and lagoons. In the wild, this cardinal feeds at night so it may be beneficial to feed when the lights are off around.
