Ternate Lemon Damsel
The damsel fish is one of the easiest fish to keep and thus an awesome recommendation for new marine hobbyists. These are safe for reef aquariums and stay small enough for most tanks. Provide ample amounts of decorations and live rock to allow this fish to hide and swim thru. It is difficult to differentiate between a male and female. Typically, the male is larger and will become aggressive towards the female when he is ready to mate. Like other damsels the male is responsible for the care of the eggs and will become very territorial while guarding his brood. Be careful with which tank mates you provide with this damsel because they are known to be territorial and aggressive. They have an adult size of only 3" and can be added in a group simultaneously. The Ternate Lemon Damsel has an iridescent coloration of greens and yellows. They are found in the Western Pacific inhabiting coral-rich areas of sheltered coastal reefs.
